Self-Worth Mantras, for the Holidays and Everyday

For some people the holidays are a wonderful time filled with slowing down, celebration, and reconnecting with family.

For other folks the holidays can be tough.

Maybe it's because you don't have that strong connection or feel judged by your family. Maybe you're feeling lonely and isolated by the shorter days and seemingly everybody else having other engagements. Maybe you're getting down on yourself for not being able to afford the type of gifts or trips you're seeing other people getting on social media.

This can all be a hit to your self worth. It can make what might be a happy time for some people feel like a lonely and sad time for others.

If you fall into this later camp, there is an opportunity here to spend time with yourself and develop more practices around cultivating self worth from within.

If you fall into the former camp, cultivating a self worth practice can still be just as important.

One of my favorite self worth practices is mantras. It's just a simple phrase I repeat to myself, either while meditating, driving, out for a walk, or anytime I'm alone with my thoughts and could use the help.

It's so easy to let our minds drift into negative self talk or regretful places, yet for most of us there's still plenty to be happy and joyful for, if we can only choose to focus on it.
